Memories of art

Memories of art created and the paintings of past,
the the days of brushing canvas hopefully will last.
We seek the paint and canvas to deliver the view,
from our vision and mind to please a few.

Alas not every work is to the taste of all,
yet we admire it from a distant hanging on the wall.
I sometimes wonder when my passion it will end,
the need to paint my visions for sale or to give to a friend.

Most works are taken through sale or gift,
they travel afar but all that leave give me a lift.
We are destined to creation our need is so great,
for it is through the vision and canvas to you we relate.

I cant remember all my work displayed,
but I do the feeling it gave and the thanks portrayed.
I am grateful to those who take my art for the dollar sum,
They feed me with canvas and paint and more creating fun.

So time to find the moral of creation past,
my friends I say its the vision of future art we hope will last.
The ability to start another creation to please,
but never forget art past that we created with ease.

"Poeticus madartist dribbiliuos"

To laugh and love these gifts are true,
from the heart it comes to me and you.
We balance our daily intake of need and wants,
like any letter written in a variety of fonts.

When we create there is no change,
its just the colour and objects that we rearrange.
A simple thought can create great things,
from pottery to canvas and macrame made from strings.

My thoughts are simple when beginning to plan,
begining with background through to the painting of land.
I take the mental thought and vision I see and create what will be,
a myriad of colour and objects thats pleasing to me.

My words are ramblings of heart and mind,
within yourself the creation you will eventually find.
So follow the feeling of creation you feel at frequent times,
and to really create stop reading my stupid rhymes!

A bit of our humour! We wrote this poem on one of our date nights. I don't think this town knows how to take Shaughan and I sometimes cause we are just take the piss. Our engagement notice in the paper said that the King and Queen are getting married...... I think the whole town read it as we got loads of response, we even got a letter from our lovely Mayor.

A brush in hand and twitching fingers crossed,
the legs begin to wobble as the paint is tossed.
A stroke of genius as the brush extends,
aloft and pointed from my fingers end.

Squeezing and mixing the paint twirls out,
from the tube of choice spewing from the spout.
A fan brush or even finer utensil to use,
stroking and blending the paint is infused.

The body contorts as the mind is calm,
the motion of dance streams through the arm.
Sweeping and blending the dance begins,
like subtle motion of a fishes fins.

the paint is thrown and spread about,
for the dance of artistic paint thrower is carried out.
Moving and twitching to the signatures end,
another master piece is born from a pleasing blend.

So dance away my artistic friends,
create and nurture as the body bends.
Alas its not the last ritual dance,
but merely a rythm from my artistic paint throwing stance.

The Tale of Humma and Mush

This is a story with a happy beginning,
of a couple of hearts that needed winning.

One was huge taking lots of space,
and one was old and lacking pace.

Both hearts were kind and giving,
and both thought that nothing was missing!

A fateful day some years ago
changed all of this, as you well know.

The two hearts bumped, and started a flow
of happy times destine to grow.

And in this time, two birds in this bush
became the legend of Humma and Mush.

So which is which, you might ask,
but that’s too easy, this is your task.

We will say this, and this is a clue,
one is a sexy mama and the other uses no shampoo.

They moved into a dirty old club
and made it a home instead of a pub.

They filled it with up with a horse and a rat
(Not really, it’s just a dog and a cat).

They even took the plunge and got wed
and here‘s another hint, Mush wore red.

Now Humma and Mush were King and Queen
and dominated their little town and the whole art scene.

They ruled with passion and pride
(and ruled the noobs that came inside).

The couple are now in the mood for a change
for a breath of fresh air and a home on the range.

They view the future with hope and faith
and know that God will keep them safe.
