Another fine mess you've got me into

I do love to watch Laurel and Hardy in those old black and white movies but they now come packaged as digitally re-mastered. Don’t you hate that phrase! Most people think it an improvement but I feel the scratches and imperfections gave character to the films. It is as if re-mastering has removed something I was enjoying. The films seem sterile and clinical and they are just not the same any more. Can you imagine in the future they will restore the Mona Lisa with computer controlled paint brushe… Continue

My relationship with my computer is on hold for a while.

I do still love my computer very much but I have been avoiding it because I have baby brain. For those of you that have had children before will understand what I mean but for those of you who haven't let me explain..... it's like part of your brain has shut down and you find it very hard for the words to flow and make much sense. Close to being moved into our new home!

Back on the chain gang .. not!

I love waking each morning of the week and not pulling on my begrudging work shoes but whippersnappering on my teaching boots ( new ones at that of which I am highly addicted to and quite possibly might wear them to bed) and not working a day in my life! what more could one ask for on a day like today? Last day of the holidays..xo.

I loved being stuck up to my knees in mud, pulling wood out of the Whanganui awa today!
